This is a Portuguese direction that deserves being seen by all Portuguese society. The way that people face the life in that great Lisbon, the world that no long cares about religion as an unconditional and fundamental support of all, the critic that is made to the way of think, talk and act of all character is amazing!! But lacks me the right words since this work of art is an adaptation of another one! And everyone knows that cinema adaptations aren't correctly made according to what we know about the book. Maybe after reading Eça De Queiroz's book I'll be able to make a new comment on this film, even better one...
